A warm, collaborative practice rooted in whole-person care Amber Creek Counseling & Psychiatry is a well-established outpatient mental health clinic in Sandy, Utah, offering a rare combination of therapy and psychiatric medication management under one roof. Our multidisciplinary team — including licensed therapists (LMFTs, CMHCs), doctoral-level psychiatric nurse practitioners, and experienced administrative staff — works closely together to provide high-quality, personalized care to individuals, couples, and families. We treat a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, PTSD, grief, relationship challenges, and more. We are a dedicated safe space that proudly serves the LGBTQIA+ community and welcome clients of all backgrounds. We also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy as part of our innovative treatment offerings.
The Role:
What you'll do As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Amber Creek, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management to our outpatient client population. You'll collaborate closely with our in-house therapists to coordinate integrated care, which is a hallmark of what makes our clinic special. Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for new and established patients Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications using evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgment Provide medication management follow-up appointments (in-person and via telehealth) Collaborate with therapists and clinic leadership to coordinate integrated, whole-person treatment plans Maintain accurate, timely documentation using SimplePractice (our EHR platform) Participate in team consultations, case conferences, and ongoing clinical training Treat a diverse patient population including adolescents (13+), adults, and older adults across a variety of diagnoses
Qualifications:
What we're looking for Active Utah APRN license in good standing Board Certification as
PMHNP-BC
(required) Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain) MSN or DNP from an accredited program Experience with medication management & psychiatric eval Familiarity with psychotropic prescribing protocols Strong written & verbal communication skills Collaborative team-player mindset Comfortable with telehealth delivery Experience with adolescent populations preferred Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, but not required FNP licenses are not accepted for this role Compensation & BenefitsWhat Amber Creek offersSalary RangeCompetitiveCommensurate with experience; above-market rates available for experienced PMHNPsScheduleFlexibleFull-time or part-time; Monday-Friday; no nights or weekendsSettingHybridIn-person at Sandy clinic + telehealth flexibility Paid time off Collaborative, supportive team culture with minimal bureaucracy Integrated care model — no need to refer out for therapy Established patient base and strong referral network
