Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health services to diverse patient populations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate psychopharmacology, therapy modalities, and behavioral interventions. Prescribe medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and other psychiatric medications following best practices and regulatory guidelines. Deliver brief psychotherapy interventions (e.g., supportive therapy, EMDR-informed care if trained) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, case managers, and therapists to coordinate comprehensive care. Provide patient education on medication management, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies to support ongoing mental health stability. Document all clinical encounters accurately within EMR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing mental health services. Qualifications Active PMHNP certification Licensed in Texas DEA license (or ability to obtain) Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred Comfortable managing a moderate-to-high patient volume Proven experience working with individuals across age groups, including children, geriatrics, and patients with developmental disabilities. Skilled in conducting behavioral health evaluations, crisis intervention, and triage assessments. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual patient assessments to expand access to mental health services. Experience with medical documentation systems such as Kareo/Tebra for accurate charting and billing procedures. Must be able to commute to Crosby TX Mondays and Tuesdays are required
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$113,000 -$120,000 annually
Productivity Bonus:
35% of collections above monthly threshold
