Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description

About us Growing private practice, very supportive working environment. Eight Psychiatric NPs seeking 1-2 additional partners. We are looking for New York State licensed, board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our team. The Psychiatric NP will regularly evaluate patients and make assessment-based diagnoses and recommend treatment plans based on current psychiatric standards of care. The ideal candidate will have a background in psychiatry and enjoy working closely with a team of committed professionals to help treat patients with a variety of mental health concerns.

Responsibilities:

Treat patients with varying psychiatric symptoms. Have competency in electronic health record use and ePrescribing. We have openings in our Vestal, NY office. Standard office hours of Monday-Thursday 8a-4:30pm, closed Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and all major holidays. Applicant must have at least 2 days per week in person availiability.
