A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner provides mental health and nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description

Full description Long Integrated Psychiatric Services is a small private practice with three locations committed to serving the Baltimore, Harford and Cecil county areas with compassionate evidence based psychiatric care. Candidates must be Licensed to practice as a PMHNP within the State of Maryland. Board Certified.• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Maintain a current DEA number &CDS license, ability to prescribe medications in Maryland. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently This is a contract position, able to work 10 hours minimum per week. Both on-site and remote, telemed , flexibility is available. Performs psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management of clients Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Documentation is timely, accurate, and reflects a high professional standard..
