A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner provides mental health and nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.
$80 - $90 per hour (based on experience) About the Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Behavioral Health Urgent Care team. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment and is passionate about providing immediate, high-quality mental health care. As a PMHNP, you will play a critical role in stabilizing patients in crisis , conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.
