The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of psychiatric assessment, psychopharmacology, and patient-centered care, with the ability to work effectively across diverse clinical settings. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing advanced psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic interventions within a dynamic healthcare environment. Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding standards. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology and psychotherapy tailored to each patient's needs. Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, including antipsychotics, antidepressants, and mood stabilizers, ensuring safe administration and adherence to clinical guidelines. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Manage patient caseloads efficiently using EMR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks while maintaining accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for diverse populations across various settings. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, medication effects, and lifestyle modifications to promote recovery and wellness. Participate in clinical research initiatives related to behavioral health or psychopharmacology to advance evidence-based practices. Experience Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in psychiatric mental health (PMHNP) or equivalent qualification. Demonstrated experience in behavioral health settings with proficiency in patient assessment and medication management. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for medical documentation and case management. Prior experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding standards for accurate diagnosis documentation. Experience in acute care environments such as emergency rooms or inpatient psychiatric units is advantageous. Skills in crisis intervention, triage procedures, and acute pain management are beneficial for this role.
