In this role, you will provide comprehensive patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality, compassionate care while supporting clinical operations and patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, utilize advanced medical skills, and contribute to innovative healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine diagnoses and treatment plans. Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health. Ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and telehealth services to optimize patient care pathways. Assist in diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory experience, medical imaging, sonography, and specimen collection/processing techniques. Educate patients on health coaching topics such as nutrition, disease management (including infectious disease care), medication adherence, and post-acute care strategies. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation following ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding standards, and NCQA standards. Skills Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms. Extensive clinical experience in diverse settings such as hospital medicine, emergency room (ER), urgent care, outpatient clinics, nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy for effective patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation. Skilled in performing advanced procedures like spinal taps, cardiac catheterization assistance, ventilator management, gastrostomy tube feeding or NG tube placement. Experience working with special populations including children (pediatrics), seniors (geriatrics), individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Familiarity with acute pain management techniques and infection control protocols across various healthcare environments. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law related to occupational health cases along with hospice & palliative medicine practices. Competence in medical documentation including ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures and treatments.
