Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care across diverse clinical settings, including acute, chronic, and specialized care environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, demonstrate exceptional patient assessment skills, and thrive in a collaborative practice setting. This position emphasizes delivering high-quality care while adhering to regulatory standards and fostering positive patient relationships. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and evaluate patient health status through detailed assessments of vital signs, medical history, and physiological data. Prescribe medications and treatment plans in compliance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe medication administration following HIPAA guidelines. Manage complex cases involving acute pain, infectious diseases, geriatrics, behavioral health, and chronic conditions such as dialysis or hospice care. Perform advanced procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, and esthetic laser treatments as required. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT), and billing processes. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties to develop comprehensive care plans and coordinate patient discharge planning or post-acute care. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and uphold NCQA standards. Provide telehealth consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms to extend accessible care to diverse populations including pediatric, adult, senior, and disabled patients. Skills Extensive experience working with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/athenahealth) and proficiency in medical documentation practices. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Skilled in performing medical procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing, tube feeding management, ventilator care, and infection control protocols. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex cases involving critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; experience in emergency medicine is highly valued. Proficient in performing triage assessments, urgent care services, internal medicine evaluations, and outpatient management across multiple specialties including geriatrics and pediatrics. Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes; understanding of Workers' Compensation law for occupational health cases; experience with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds while maintaining HIPAA compliance; strong client communication skills are essential. Capable of working independently or within multidisciplinary teams to deliver exemplary patient-centered care while adhering to OSHA standards.
