Job Description
Job Description The APP directly manages the care of patients on the malignant hematology/transplant service. In collaboration with the physicians, the APP on service manages admissions, consults, discharges, and daily rounds for the assigned patient population. The APP is an expert in patient care who provides quality care through thorough medical histories and patient assessments. The APP orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests to develop medical diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans. The APP may prescribe medical regimens and educates patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care. Night shift- 7 day on/7 day off rotation. Qualifications Master's or higher in nursing or graduate from an accredited APP/PA program (Required) Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current state licensure and certification as an NP or PA. 2 years hematology/oncology experience (preferred)
