Family Nurse Practitioner

Job Title:

Family Nurse Practitioner Duties:

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from newborns to elderly individuals
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
• Prescribe medications and administer treatments
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, prevention, and wellness strategies
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Manage chronic conditions and provide ongoing follow-up care
• Conduct physical examinations and order necessary laboratory tests
• Assist with minor procedures and wound care

Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner preferred
• Strong clinical skills and ability to provide evidence-based care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
• Knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) and utilization management preferred
• Experience in memory care, gastric lavage, airway management, neonatal ventilator, working with people with developmental disabilities, toddler care, utilization review, or similar areas is a plus
