Great outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Bell County Jail in Belton, Texas. Responsibilities Performs psychiatric examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation and health education Works closely with the BHD and/or BHPs in identifying appropriate treatment plans for at-risk patients, or as needed
Intermittently attends morning huddle calls, when indicated and/or when there are high-risk patients that require multidisciplinary treatment planning and collaboration
Obtains patient histories, follows up with medication verification efforts, reviews pertinent medical history and develops patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR format
Provides support in coordinating the activities of patient care and/or support staff
Participates in developing specific mental health policies and procedures, when indicated Qualifications Current state license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Current CPR certificate
Two (2) years of experience in psychiatric and/or correctional healthcare setting
Proficient with electronic medical records
