South Plains Rural Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. This position provides primary care services to patients in a rural health clinic setting while working closely with physicians, nursing staff, and clinical support teams to deliver quality patient care.
Schedule:
Full-time Monday-Thursday 8-5| Friday 8-12
What You'll Do:
Assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor acute and chronic medical conditions Perform complete physical examinations and patient assessments Obtain and document patient medical histories Order and interpret routine diagnostic tests, labs, and x-rays Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within scope of practice Educate and counsel patients and families on health management and prevention Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members regarding patient care Refer patients to specialists or higher levels of care when necessary Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the EHR Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives Follow infection control and patient safety guidelines
What You'll Bring:
Current Family Nurse Practitioner license in Texas Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current CPR/BLS certification Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Experience in primary care or rural health preferred Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
