We believe in creating and maintaining a supportive and caring environment dedicated to individual and collective excellence. This is a part time position, could lead to a full time position in the future .
Office Overview:
We are located at 2801 Bolton Boone Suite 101 Desoto, TX. Directly across from Charlton Methodist Hospital. We have been in business since 1971. We currently see patients from the DFW Metroplex that enjoy our friendly and qualified Physician and staff.
Job Description:
Under the supervision of the physician, the Nurse practitioner will provide primary health care services, assist in the education of patients, provide professional oversight as required by clinic policies, and assist in the management and training of professional staff.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
Performance of health assessments, including a thorough history and physical examination, ordering or performing certain diagnostic tests, and the diagnosis of acute and chronic conditions.

Management of acute and chronic illness, including planning of periodic health assessments, continued patient education relating to allergy and asthma, and the maintenance of patient rapport.

Management of minor trauma, episodic problems as well as counseling and education with regard to such problems.

Referral of complex and high priority cases to the physician with regard to complicated diagnostic problems, serious illness, complicated therapeutic problems, or re-evaluation of chronic conditions.

Demonstration of continued learning and growth as a practitioner.

Responsible for the patient and staff education program.

Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Employer.
Requirements:
Active Texas license to practice as a Nurse PractitionerAbility to relate well with patients and other healthcare providersWillingness to educate patients, and other staff in health related matters associated with allergies and asthma, Ability to work as a team member Graduation from a certified Nurse Practitioner program .
