Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments across various specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health. Develop individualized care plans based on diagnostic evaluations, clinical findings, and patient histories. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, phlebotomy, and sterile processing as needed. Manage acute pain cases, assist with complex procedures like spinal taps and cardiac catheterizations, and provide critical care including ventilator management and airway support. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and medical records management. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes and coordinate discharge planning or post-acute care. Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently or under collaborative practice agreements. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, ICU/critical care units, emergency rooms, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate documentation. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms. Skilled in performing diagnostic procedures such as sonography, gastroscopy (gastric lavage), spinal taps, and laboratory specimen collection/processing. Familiarity with telehealth practices and remote patient management tools. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment plans and health coaching strategies. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings such as trauma centers (Level I/II), urgent care clinics, or hospital environments including neonatal ventilator management or pediatric intensive care units (PICU). Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information along with proficiency in medical documentation standards. $55.00 - $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
