We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team full-time. We are looking for a provider who is comfortable managing patients in an outpatient primary care setting with a high degree of independence. Our practice emphasizes quality patient care, efficiency, continuity of care, and a supportive work environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Manage common chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disorders, and other primary care conditions Perform preventive and annual examinations Perform well-woman examinations and Pap smears Order and interpret laboratory testing, imaging, and other diagnostic studies Prescribe and manage medications Provide patient education and preventive counseling Coordinate referrals and specialty care when appropriate Maintain accurate and timely documentation Collaborate with the physician and clinical staff Participate in quality improvement and value-based care initiatives Qualifications Current Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification or PA-C certification Minimum 2 years of outpatient primary care experience required New graduates will not be considered Fluent in English and Spanish required Comfortable independently managing adult primary care patients Experience performing well-woman examinations and Pap smears DEA registration or ability to obtain Athenahealth experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills Schedule Full-time Five-day workweek with occasional Saturday clinic coverage Saturday clinic hours are 8:00 AM-12:00 PM No hospital rounds or inpatient responsibilities Compensation Competitive salary based on experience Productivity bonus opportunity Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates Benefits Medical, dental, and vision plans Malpractice insurance Paid time off Seven paid holidays $1,000 annual CME allowance DEA registration reimbursement Texas license reimbursement 401(k) employer match after one year About Premier Valley Health Premier Valley Health is an independent, physician-owned primary care practice focused on providing high-quality, compassionate, and accessible healthcare to patients throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
