Job Description
Wound Care Nurse Practitioner Healogics is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Wound Care Center at St. Luke's Health - Livingston in Livingston, TX . This outpatient, procedure-focused practice primarily serves geriatric patients and offers an exceptional work-life balance with a Monday-Friday schedule and no nights, weekends, or call. Providers work alongside a dedicated clinical support team, including HBO nurses, a case manager, and administrative staff, while receiving comprehensive paid training in wound care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO), ongoing mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth. For over 25 years, Healogics has been treating patients with chronic wounds from over 600 hospital-based wound care centers across the country. Currently, Healogics treats over 300,000 wound care patients annually and has healed nearly 4 million wounds. Healogics is the world's leading expert in wound healing. This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinic and is exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. Our center operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no nights, on-call duties, or weekend work. All patients are seen by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted. The clinic is integrated with St Lukes Hospital, and the candidate will be employed by Healogics. This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatric patients. The successful candidate must possess at least 1 year of procedural background. Experience with minor procedures such as suturing, debridement, and/or incision and drainage (I&D) is required, and procedural case logs will be requested as part of the credentialing process. Other types of non-dermatological procedural experience may also be acceptable on a case-by-case basis. Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy trainings are available. A full clinical team will be in place from the start date. Scope of Practice Highlights Full Team support includes Case Manager, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses, Office Manager, and Front/Back End Support We offer advanced wound-care treatments to promote healing, including: cellulitis therapy, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infection management and prevention, wound cleaning, and wound dressing Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. There are no night shifts, on-call responsibilities, or weekend hours There is opportunity for growth into leadership positions A full 40 hour HBO training program, 3 Day Wound Care and Mentorship will be provided. Training will be paid to the provide Experience Requirements Clean and Active State license Must be a Certified Nurse Practitioner DEA License Minimum of 1 year of NP experience is a must Must have procedural experience - simple sutures, I&D's, debridements...
