Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care for individuals facing mental health challenges. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs. Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulations. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options. Participate in ongoing professional development and training. Provide on-site and telehealth evaluations and medication follow-up to individuals in an outpatient clinic and in a county jail setting. Skills Proficiency in Medication administration and understanding of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation. Experience with administeringinjectable medications. Familiarity with practices to manage acute psychiatric conditions effectively. Strong laboratory skills for interpreting relevant tests related to mental health conditions. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills essential for working in a clinical environment.
