Job Description

Elsmere Psychiatry Group is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our expanding behavioral health team in Louisville, Kentucky. This full-time, on-site opportunity offers a collaborative practice environment with a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care. Our providers work alongside experienced psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and case management teams to deliver exceptional, patient-centered behavioral healthcare.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
Starting at $130,000 annually (commensurate with experience) Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer-paid malpractice insurance 401(k) retirement plan CME reimbursement and paid CME time Paid time off and holidays Administrative and clinical support designed to streamline workflow and reduce provider burden Multi-regional practice opportunities, including telemedicine Position Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up assessments under the collaborating physician model as applicable Provide medication management for inpatient and outpatient psychiatric patients Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing, therapists, social workers, and case management to develop individualized treatment plans Participate in treatment planning and discharge coordination Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans Participate in an equitable on-call rotation as required Qualifications Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification (PMHNP-BC) Active, unrestricted Kentucky APRN license or willingness to obtain DEA license or eligibility to obtain Experience in inpatient psychiatry of 1-2 years preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based behavioral healthcare Work Environment On-site, physician-led practice focused on delivering high-quality behavioral healthcare Collaborative multidisciplinary team with strong administrative support Opportunities to practice across multiple facilities and regions, including telemedicine services At Elsmere Psychiatry Group, we are committed to supporting our providers with the resources, flexibility, and collaborative environment needed to deliver exceptional patient care.
