Locums About the Facility This mid-sized hospital provides inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology services to a regional patient population across two facility locations. The facility maintains the clinical infrastructure necessary to support a high-volume procedural radiology environment on an on-site basis. Coverage spans both inpatient and outpatient clinic settings to meet the ongoing needs of the patient population served. About the Facility Location Fredericksburg, Virginia offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural activities. The area features outdoor trails including the 2.7-mile Ni River loop, kayaking on the Rappahannock River, and parks with playgrounds and swimming facilities! About the Clinician's Workday The Interventional Diagnostic Radiology Nurse Practitioner will provide on-site coverage across inpatient and outpatient clinic settings, with inpatient responsibilities conducted at one hospital facility and outpatient clinic coverage conducted at a separate facility. Inpatient shift hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, while outpatient clinic hours follow a schedule of Tuesday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Responsibilities include covering inpatient procedures, outpatient procedures, consults, and rounding, with a volume of approximately 15 procedures per day and 12 consults per day. No call coverage is required for this assignment. Procedures include thoracentesis, paracentesis, superficial biopsies, PICC line, midline, and small bowel feeding tube.
