JOB SUMMARY
In an outpatient setting, the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse / Nurse Practitioner (APRN / NP) independently performs medical acts in alignment with APRN/NP licensure standards. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing and medical services to individuals, families, and groups, with a strong focus on health promotion and disease prevention. The APRN/NP provides leadership/consultation and collaborates with patients, families, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care outcomes. The role also includes identifying and addressing specialized teaching and learning needs of patients and families, ensuring they receive the education necessary for informed health decisions. The APRN/NP is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff, executing daily operations in a cost-effective manner. Additionally, the APRN/NP is committed to ongoing personal and professional development, actively identifying learning needs and setting goals to achieve continuous growth.
DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE
The BMH Medical Group provides medical services in various specialties and offices including family practice, pediatrics, ob/gyn, cardiology, orthopedics, post-acute care, urology and general surgery. The practices are staffed by physicians and other licensed providers who are supported by clinical staff (LPNs or medical assistants) and clerical staff (patient service representatives, transcriptionists, pre-loaders). Hours vary by practice but are generally 8:00 - 5:00. Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's degree from an accredited adult nurse practitioner program.
Experience:
Leading to certification in Adult, Family or Pediatric practice. Two years of nursing experience prior to advanced degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current licensure as an APRN by the State of Vermont. Certification as an adult, family, or pediatric nurse practitioner by a national organization, which is recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing preferred. Qualified to be credentialed by the BMH Medical Staff. Healthcare Provider CPR certification. DEA license. Compensation Disclosure in Accordance with Vermont Act 155 In compliance with Vermont Act 155, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital provides the compensation range for this position in good faith. The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness. Final compensation will be determined during the hiring process. Salary Description $120,000.00 to $140,000.00
