About MultiCare Cancer Institute MultiCare Cancer Institute is a physician-led, multi-specialty group within MultiCare Health System, delivering integrated hematology, oncology, radiation, surgical and supportive care across Washington state. Each year, we diagnose and treat more than 6,000 new cancer cases across Olympia, Spokane, Tacoma and Yakima. We bring together advanced pathology, imaging and evidence-based treatment with holistic supportive services to provide personalized, high-quality cancer care. As we continue to grow, we are building the Pacific Northwest's most comprehensive and high-value oncology network-projected to double in volume over the next five years.

0-4 YOE $190,270 5-9 YOE $195,464 10+ YOE $199,200 Position Summary MultiCare Health System is seeking a Surgical Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established, thriving and comprehensive practice. Practicing within a Commission on Cancer (CoC- accredited comprehensive cancer program, you'll play a vital role in delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care as part of a multidisciplinary oncology team.
- First assist in surgical procedures and provide perioperative care.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical exams.
- Supports surgical oncologists in both inpatient and outpatient settings, contributing to improved access, continuity, and outcomes for oncology patients.
- On call for practice and ER as needed for the practice.
- Independently manages hospital-based care and outpatients.
- Has specialized training or practice focused on surgical oncology.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with surgical oncologists.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging.
- Coordinates patient care with other specialties.
- Supervises RN and MAs in the treatment of surgical patients.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and recovery.
- Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Stay current with best practices, emerging therapies, and clinical guidelines through continuing education and training.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current APRN certification and licensure in Washington State
