About the Job
UROLOGY NP/PA - LOCUM
We are seeking an experienced Urology NP or PA to provide coverage in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings . The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with urology patients, performing in-office procedures, preparing patients for surgery, and assisting with surgical procedures.
SCHEDULE
Day Shift. Monday-Friday. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. 8-hour shifts.
Clinic hours:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work up and evaluate patients for surgical procedures. Perform cystoscopies and other standard in-office urology procedures. Assist with surgical procedures and procedures in the operating room. Diagnose and treat common urological conditions. Manage kidney stone patients. Diagnose and treat erectile dysfunction. Manage male incontinence. Provide yearly medication refills and ongoing patient management. Provide inpatient and outpatient urology care. Surgical PAs may assist with surgeries and perform hospital rounding. Non-surgical PAs may primarily provide clinic-based care.
POSITION DETAILS
ASAP start. Gap coverage opportunity. Hospital and clinic coverage required. Inpatient and outpatient setting. Adult patients, ages 17+. Approximately 18 patients per day. Standard urology procedures performed in the clinic and operating room. Both hospital and clinic privileges required.
EMR:
Epic.
REQUIREMENTS
Active Washington State license required at the time of submission. IMLC license not accepted. NP preferred due to ability to practice independently. PA candidates with surgical experience strongly encouraged to apply. Recent relevant clinical experience within the last 24 months required. Case logs demonstrating clinical activity within the requested scope may be required. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
