About Us At Pacific Northwest Kidney and Hypertension Institute, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, cutting-edge, and comprehensive care to patients managing chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and related conditions. Our team thrives on collaboration, clinical excellence, and improving the quality of life for our community in the Inland Northwest. We are looking for a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our growing Spokane clinical team. Job Summary We are seeking an autonomous, collaborative, and detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver exceptional outpatient care. In this role, you will work in partnership with our nephrologists to manage a dedicated panel of patients with chronic kidney conditions, design and implement detailed treatment plans, and provide clinical oversight for our on-site specialty infusion clinic.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Evaluation & Management:
Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic laboratory tests and imaging, and formulate definitive diagnoses and treatment plans for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and hypertension.
Infusion Clinic Oversight:
Provide clinical oversight for our specialized infusion therapies, including reviewing and ordering therapeutic protocols, managing treatment efficacy, and addressing acute clinical changes.
Chronic Care Coordination:
Manage longitudinal care for complex, multi-system chronic conditions, adjusting medications and interventions to delay disease progression.
Patient Counseling & Advocacy:
Educate patients and their families regarding advanced disease progression, renal replacement therapies (dialysis options/transplant), medication management, and dietary adjustments.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Work seamlessly alongside collaborating physicians, specialized RNs, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure a cohesive, high-quality patient experience.
Qualifications License/Certification:
Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the State of Washington ( Required ). Current national board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA). Active DEA license and Washington prescriptive authority.
Education:
Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an advanced practice provider. Experience in nephrology, internal medicine, urology, or critical care is a major plus, but we are willing to train a highly motivated candidate.
Skills:
Strong diagnostic reasoning, excellent communication skills, and a comfort level with supervising outpatient infusion therapies. Current BLS/CPR certification.
