Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students in a dynamic school environment near Tacoma, WA, where Speech-Language Pathologists are valued for their expertise and their impact on children's lives. This is an excellent option for practitioners with a passion for pediatric therapy, providing services across traditional, extended, and summer school terms at a welcoming academy. Applicants will enjoy a consistent 35-hour workweek, giving you the structure to develop meaningful relationships with students as you address their communication needs within school settings. The specific caseload will be determined soon, ensuring the best fit for your strengths and interests.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active Washington State SLP licensure 2+ years of practice in pediatrics, schools, or comparable settings is preferred SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and candidates with school-based experience are encouraged SLPs with experience in healthcare, Medicaid billing, and pediatric populations will thrive Must have an active Medicaid provider number An existing CAQH profile and credentialing with insurance companies are required
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, diagnostics, and implement evidence-based therapy plans Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and monitor IEPs Maintain clear records and billing for Medicaid and other insurance providers Support a positive learning environment that inspires growth in communication skills This role is ideal for professionals looking for a stable schedule during CSY, ESY, and NSY terms, all in a supportive, student-centered setting.
