Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health services to diverse patient populations. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals experiencing mental health challenges, utilizing advanced clinical skills and evidence-based practices. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes, promote mental wellness, and support holistic care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk evaluations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and patient needs Provide psychotherapy interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, and psychoeducation tailored to individual patients Collaborate with physicians, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans Manage telehealth consultations to extend mental health services to remote or underserved populations Document all patient encounters accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects aimed at advancing psychiatric care practices Requirements Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health (PMHNP-BC or equivalent) Proven experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those in assisted living or nursing home settings Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, behavioral health interventions, and crisis management techniques Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Experience in acute care environments such as hospitals or emergency rooms is highly desirable Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, mental status exams, and risk evaluations Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and engaging patients empathetically Join us in delivering compassionate mental health care that transforms lives! Pay:
$135,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
