Exempt About the Employer Founded in November of 2020, Pain Physicians of Wisconsin is a group of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and a great group of support staff serving the southeast region of Wisconsin. The goal of our pain treatment team is to help our patients live their healthiest lives possible by easing pain symptoms and restoring function and movement. Position Summary A nurse practitioner will help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. They will work in both clinical and ASC outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Nurse practitioners perform the important task of educating patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Conduct Physicals. Collaborate with MD/ Anesthesiologist Monitor plan's effectiveness to optimize patient's quality of life Use prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, and theories in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations Order Tests and Interpret test results. Order diagnostic tests. Record patient medical history. Communicate results to patients. Prescribe medications. Qualifications Master's Degree or higher in Nursing Written and Verbal communication skills Time management skills Empathy and compassion The ability to provide accurate, effective care The ability to work under pressure for long hours Licenses & Certifications Current and unrestricted RN license in the State of Wisconsin. BLS certified or obtain certification within three months of hire. ACLS certified or obtain certification within the first year of hire.
