Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. In this vital role, you will deliver expert psychiatric care, conduct comprehensive patient assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans. Your expertise will help guide our clients toward lasting recovery, ensuring they receive the highest standard of mental health support within a supportive and innovative setting. Responsibilities Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for diverse patient populations, including adults, seniors, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, utilizing psychopharmacology principles to optimize patient outcomes. Collaborate with therapists, medical staff, and case managers to coordinate integrated care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Provide crisis intervention and triage services for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes or emergencies. Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication management, and wellness strategies to promote recovery and resilience. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with certification from an accredited body such as ANCC or AANP. Proven experience in behavioral health settings with exposure to diverse populations including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration protocols, and clinical research methodologies. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient management. Experience in crisis intervention, triage procedures, acute pain management, or hospital-based psychiatric care is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as hospice & palliative medicine, infectious disease care, or trauma center protocols is a plus.
