Collaborative team based approach between Neonatologists Always a neonatologist available within 30 minutes. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop, coordinate, and navigate patient care plans. Assist in or provide direct support during patient deliveries Conduct specialized consultations and provide guidance to mothers Provide specialized, comprehensive care for premature infants About the Facility Well established Level
III NICU
facility Approximately 1300 births a year. Average daily census of 5-8 infants. (Gets about 10% of hospital births) The NICU has seasoned nurses with 40 years of experience. Registration:
Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
Master's degree of Nursing required. What additional preferences you'll need Experienced preferred. Ability to resuscitate infants, intubate, umbilical lines, and manage a ventilator/oscillator. Chest tubes.
