Job Description
Job Summary To assess, treat, solve problems, counsel, educate and refer patients seen for primary or acute care in the clinic/related department, utilizing advanced assessment and evaluation techniques. Responsibilities
- Assess health status and health potential: plan, implement and evaluate health care needs of the patient/family.
- Plan, manage and evaluate therapeutic regimens for patients, consulting with physician(s) and other members of the health care team, including school officials.
- Plan, teach and counsel patients regarding current health care status and the signs and symptoms of illness.
- Assess growth and development of the patient.
- Perform clinical and therapeutic procedures.
- Assume a leadership role in developing nursing care policies and procedures for the unit.
- Assist with planning and monitoring quality improvement/control for the unit.
- Perform history and physical examination, and record data.
- Identify normal and abnormal findings, and consult as needed with physician to determine the plan of treatment.
- Master's Degree (Required)
