Job Description

Aya Locums is seeking 1-2 skilled CRNAs to provide locum services at an ambulatory surgery center in Fairbanks, Alaska. This is an excellent opportunity for a CRNA comfortable practicing independently with strong nerve block skills. Coverage is needed starting January 19, 2026, and ongoing. The surgery center offers on-site housing in an adjacent duplex property or will cover all expenses.

Case Types:
General Surgery, Hernias, Eyes, Ears, Sinus, Ortho General, Colonoscopies (no urology, no complex hospital cases)
Setting:
Ambulatory Surgery Center Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm (procedures start at 7:30am), 40-hour work week
Annual Volume:
Approximately 2,800 cases annually
Nerve Block Requirements:
Interscalenes (primary), supraclavicular, infraclavicular, axillary, adductor canal, genicular PENG, popliteal blocks, TAP blocks. Will place interscalene and adductor canal catheters.
Special Note:
1 Thursday per month features neuro ortho cases (may have coverage)
Practice Style:
Independent practice
Overtime:
Time and a half for anything over 40 hours per week or 8 hours per day
Credentialing:
Fast-track credentialing (completed in days with primary source verification)
Requirements:
Active CRNA Certification (Board-Certified) Active Alaska Medical License (licensing candidates will be considered) Comfortable practicing independently Strong nerve block experience required Ability to place nerve block catheters Why Join Us?
