YOUR DAY AS A CNA
Join our Ancora Family as a Home HealthHospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), also known as a Home Health Aide (HHA), and become an essential part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional care. In this impactful role, you will assist patients with personal care needs such as grooming and bathing, particularly benefiting those with limited mobility. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting patients during meals, monitoring and reporting vital signs and notable behaviors to our medical team, and facilitating patient mobility through transfers between wheelchairs and beds. By expertly adjusting patients' positioning in bed, you will help prevent bedsores and ensure maximum comfort. ARE YOU THE CNA WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
To thrive as a Home HealthHospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Ancora, several key skills and qualifications are essential. First and foremost, you must possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Alaska, with prior experience in home health and/or hospice settings preferred. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for articulating patient needs and collaborating with the medical team. Time management is vital, as you will be balancing multiple responsibilities while ensuring quality care. A valid Driver's License with a clean record and reliable transportation are necessary for traveling between patient homes. Additionally, you will need current auto insurance and an AK Fingerprint Clearance Card, which we can assist you with obtaining. Holding a Current CPR certification and passing a Negative TB Test are also important steps in ensuring a safe and effective care environment. Your dedication to these requirements will enable you to make a significant impact on the lives of those you serve. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Alaska Home Health and/or Hospice experience as an CNA preferred Ability to utilize full range of movement to transfer patients Effective verbalwritten communicationtime management skills Valid Driver's License (clean record)reliable transportation.
