Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate basic nursing care to adult and geriatric residents in a Long-Term Care setting. The CNA will assist with activities of daily living, monitor and document patient conditions, respond to call lights, maintain a safe environment, and support the nursing team. Responsibilities Provide personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist with positioning, lifting, turning, transferring, and ambulating residents. Monitor and record vital signs, blood sugar, pulse oximetry, weight, and intake/output. Assist residents with meals and feeding as needed. Collect and transport specimens and report abnormal findings or changes in condition. Answer call lights and make regular rounds on assigned residents. Provide 1:1/sitter care when required for resident safety. Maintain clean and safe resident rooms and nursing areas. Replenish supplies and properly handle clean/dirty and infectious waste. Assist nurses with resident transportation, admissions, transfers, and discharges. At Critical Access Hospital locations, may perform ECGs, telemetry monitoring, and cross-train in additional departments. Requirements Current, unrestricted Alaska CNA license - REQUIRED Current
BLS - REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of CNA experience preferred. Must be able to safely lift, transfer, and care for non-ambulatory residents. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond appropriately during emergencies. Must complete unit-specific training/courses as required. Two fingerprint cards required upon acceptance.Pay:
$1,700.00 - $1,726.00 per weekEducation:
