Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient observations accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems like PCC. Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with medication administration under supervision Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health needs in memory or assisted living facilities Maintain patient safety by adhering to HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and proper documentation practices Engage with patients experiencing complex conditions like infectious diseases or requiring hospice or palliative care Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting with Hoyer lifts and assisting with patient transfers safely Compassionate caregiving skills with experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs
