CareMax Seniors Solutions are looking for experienced and professional CAREGIVERS, HCAs OR CNAs who provide care to the next level and are truly passionate about what they are doing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal Care:
Provide cueing and assistance to clients with bathing, dressing, eating, waking up, going to bed and other preferred routines.
Mobility:
Assist clients with walking in and out of the home and transferring from bed, chair and toilet.
Supervision:
Monitor the clients for safety, including responding to medical emergencies, and securing and fortifying areas to minimize wandering and fall risks.
Medication Reminder:
Supervise and remind to take medications in accordance with the prescribing physician's orders.
Nutrition:
Meal preparation for clients with attention to nutritional balance and any special dietary needs or restrictions as instructed. Provision of daily snacks, as needed.
Feeding:
Assisting clients with managing the process of eating including, but not limited to, supervising and assisting in setting up the meal, cutting food, pouring fluids, and overseeing feeding
Light Housekeeping:
Maintaining areas where the client normally goes by ensuring that the areas are clean and organized. Weekly tasks include, but are not limited to; General household upkeep Maintenance of client's personal living space Washing laundry, towels and bed sheets Making the bed Washing dishes Disinfecting/sanitizing all bathrooms and the kitchen Removal of household trash Vacuuming and mopping floors
Enrichment:
Provide companionship and facilitate entertainment with the clients through socialization and daily activities.
Charting:
Provide accurate charting and reporting in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Care Collaboration:
Collaborates with clients' care team including, but not limited to, the client's family, home health, hospice, and other care related professionals with any changes in client's health conditions.
Communication:
Reports and communicates with
Care Managers, Care Coordinator, and Program Manager Education:
Maintain HCA registry, training requirements, and certifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of proper caring and assisting adults and seniors. Appropriate level of administrative and customer service experience and skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion. Effective communication skills with clients, client's families, and team members at all levels. Excellent organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to organize, plan and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with good attention to detail. Strong knowledge with Microsoft Word or use of software applications using smartphones Ability to work autonomously and understand when others need to be involved in decision making. Self-motivated, with a dedication to keeping up to date professionally, and applying new knowledge to the job. Proven ability to operate safely in the workplace, with experience in holding peers and direct reports accountable to safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age to apply Must have at least 1 year of adult or senior care experience Must be a registered Home Care Aide through the DSS with a PER ID Number Must have cleared background check Must have a TB Test clearance Must have a valid Driver's License Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs or more Must have a current auto insurance and automobile that is in good working condition Must be willing to travel at least within a 5-mile radius of an assigned location Must have a current and reliable smartphone
