Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support Maintain aseptic technique during procedures such as catheter care or wound management to prevent infection and promote healing Assist with patient transfers and positioning using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safety and comfort Document patient information thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program with current state licensure or registration Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (ICU, emergency medicine, Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and patient service records Prior experience with specialized care areas such as hospice care, infectious disease management, pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, or sub-acute care is highly desirable Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges using compassionate caregiving techniques Strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA guidelines Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with patient mobility tasks safely Join us in delivering exceptional patient care through your dedication and expertise!
