Job Description

Salary Range:
$18.92 - $23.62 Pay rates are determined based on experience and internal equity.
Position Summary:
Get height and weight on every patient then take to exam room. Take blood pressure for patient when come in for blood pressure check then document into EHR. Checking each patient for allergy to latex- if so, ensure patient is roomed in decreased latex environment room Patients are to be roomed in order of appointments or as per Provider Guidelines Verify patient name and provider they are seeing before rooming. Answer phones. Assist nursing staff as appropriate. Answer patient questions. Take messages for MD from patients and return calls with answers from MD. Clean/Disinfect exam rooms after patient use. Manage incoming faxes

Position Duties/Responsibility:
Demonstrates proficiency in the care of patients in the after the appropriate orientation to the area Maintains ability to perform competencies as listed above Demonstrates the knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Documents patient care through appropriate charting. Other duties as assigned. Distribute faxes to assigned providers Assign/print out incoming faxes Assist with medical records
Essential Functions:
The ability to verbally and in writing communicate with physician, patients and co-workers. The ability to maintain a Certified Nursing Assistant certification. The ability to be supervised. The ability to work as a Team. The ability to have positive personal interactions with coworkers, patients, families and others.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
High School graduate or GED preferred
Experience:
At least 6 months to 1 year of patient care experience
Certifications:
Have a current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification and Current CPR certification required from the American Heart Association.
Skills/Ability:
Be able to communicate effectively with patients to the degree the patient's ability allows. Be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate patient's condition to other staff. Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required. Lompoc Health reserves the right to modify the minimum requirements depending on the needs of the organization.
