Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. As a CNA, you will be an essential part of the healthcare team, providing hands-on assistance that makes a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of any changes to nursing staff. Support patient care plans by helping with medication reminders and basic medical procedures under supervision, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Document patient information thoroughly in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care requirements, or behavioral health challenges. Assist in patient transfers and positioning safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including hospitals (Level I Trauma Centers, ICU, PICU), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or home care environments to deliver comprehensive patient support. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures essential for patient care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical records management. Experience in specialized areas such as ICU care, emergency medicine, hospice care, behavioral health settings or post-acute care environments is highly valued. Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures and manage catheter care while maintaining aseptic techniques. Strong caregiving skills demonstrated through experience in geriatrics, pediatrics or home & community care settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages—including children—and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
