General Purpose The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents in accordance with their care plans, facility policies, and the direction of licensed nursing staff. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral care Assist with lifting, turning, repositioning, transferring, and transporting residents Measure and record vital signs, weights, and intake/output as directed Observe and report changes in resident condition to licensed nursing staff Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously Assist residents during meals and monitor food and fluid intake Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and comfort at all times Document care provided accurately and timely Follow infection control and safety protocols Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges Participate in restorative and rehabilitative programs as directed Maintain confidentiality of resident information and comply with HIPAA regulations Report accidents, incidents, abuse concerns, or safety hazards immediately Qualifications Education & Experience Minimum 10th-grade education required Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred Licenses & Certifications Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required CPR certification preferred Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team Excellent observation and documentation skills Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and transferring residents Ability to assist residents with mobility and daily care needs Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations We are an equal opportunity employer.
