Job Description
Position Summary Under the direction of the Clinic Manager and Providers, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with exams and procedures, documenting patient information in the electronic health record (EHR), and supporting daily clinic operations. Essential Responsibilities Obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, medication lists, and patient concerns. Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during visits and procedures. Document patient encounters, test results, procedures, and provider notes in the EHR. Serve as a medical scribe when requested. Schedule appointments, answer phones, maintain records, and assist with office duties. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable regulations. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Current Colorado CNA certification required upon hire. Previous healthcare or clinic experience preferred. BLS certification required upon hire and maintained through HealthStream. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and assist patients as needed. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to work in a healthcare environment with exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
