Neurological critical care Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU): Cardiac surgery recovery and ECMO Job Summary The George Washington University Hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This role is an excellent opportunity to support critically ill patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while working alongside experienced nurses and physicians. Responsibilities Assist nurses with direct patient care for critically ill patients Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and blood glucose levels Support activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, feeding, and mobility Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights Assist with patient transport and unit operations Communicate effectively with the care team to support patient safety Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Completion of a Patient Care Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course, 2 years of Nursing school, or equivalent program reuqired.
