The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse populations such as seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or those requiring memory care. This role offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment, including live-in arrangements, with a focus on delivering personalized and respectful care to enhance quality of life. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' conditions, reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining HIPAA compliance Record medical information accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Perform vital signs assessments such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Support patients with medical procedures like catheter care and Hoyer lift transfers Provide companionship and emotional support to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed; perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and cleaning Maintain patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards Document all care activities thoroughly in medical records or documentation systems Qualifications Valid CNA or HHA certification required; CPR certification preferred Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, or home health environments is highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various settings Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Physical ability to assist with mobility support and perform light housekeeping tasks This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing dedicated caregiving support.
