- Assisted Living & Memory Care 1301 SE Palm Beach Road, Stuart, FL 34996 Full-time Full-time SUMMARY The Assistant Wellness Director supervises the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Wellness Director is to oversee and lead licensed nurses and other direct care staff within the community to ensure all care commitments and regulations are met, all residents experience a carefree and healthy lifestyle and family members are satisfied with the care provided. The Assistant Wellness Director is to assist the Wellness Director in maintaining and operating the clinical aspects of the Community. The Assistant Wellness Director will assume the duties of the Wellness Director in their absence. The Assistant Wellness Director will oversee the Community wellness program in an efficient, cost-effective manner; safely meeting residents' needs in strict accordance with Concordis' policies and procedures. Ensure completion and accuracy of admissions. Complete periodic and episodic level of care plans based on timing and change of condition. Complete all assessments as due and as indicated. Communicate changes with Wellness Director. Update service plans as indicated. Provide for emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents. Observe, record, report, treat symptoms and reactions of residents. Carry out MD orders. Ensure medications are always available and that medications are reordered in a timely manner. Supervise care staff and provide ongoing training and coaching- monitoring for needs of effective discipline as needed in partnership with the Wellness Director Supervise care staff to ensure ADL duties are completed per resident care plan.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

May consider healthcare experience in lieu of LPN License. 3 years of relevant experience leading a health & wellness department or similar department with a population of older adults, preferably in an assisted living environment. Memory Care experience is also preferred. Must be an independent worker with good verbal/written communication skills able to multi-task and problem solve. Ability to maintain patience, composure, and dignity in an emergency or crisis while maintaining confidentiality Must be highly customer oriented and responsive with the needs of Residents, Families and Team Members. Able to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments. Strong team-building skills including the ability to lead, cooperate & motivate Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record Ability to satisfy Level II background screening requirements. Excellent decision-making skills, organizational and time management skills. Proficient in use of computers and technology competencies, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Microsoft Windows applications. Ability to work evenings, weekends and minimal travel. Must be flexible, innovative, persistent and committed to successful completion of assignments. Able to clearly present information through the spoken word. Can accurately communicate, providing the necessary level of detail even under stressful or demanding conditions. Ensures a positive attitude and team orientation is exhibited in verbal and non-verbal communication. Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents' families, visitors and Team Members. Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the resident, Team Member, residence, company information and records. Maintains safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits. Participate in training, in services, and attend meetings as required. High school diploma. Must possess high-energy/enthusiasm, be a self-starter, have excellent time management skills, a strong initiative, and superior verbal/public speaking skillsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the direct supervision of the community's Care partners, LPNs and Nursing Team Members and is an on-call position.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in English and understand and follow written and oral instructions.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Effective written and oral communication skills are essential.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
You must possess and maintain a safe, valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for business use. LPN or other license is to be kept current with licensing agency.PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be exposed to blood borne pathogens. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to fumes and toxic caustic chemicals.
