Job Description:
Loving Arms Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in the homes of our hospice patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hospice philosophy and a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families during a sensitive time.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse. Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care in the home. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families. Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner. Adhere to all Loving Arms Hospice policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the hospice team.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Georgia. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a CNA, with a strong preference for home hospice experience. Experience providing direct care in a home care setting is essential. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with current auto insurance. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of end-of-life care and bereavement support.

$38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
