Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Caregiver to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals across various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, and home care environments. Duties Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support, and feeding Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Operate patient lifts like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury and promote patient comfort during transfers Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols for infectious disease care and ensuring equipment is sanitized according to hospital or facility standards Assist with transfers and mobility support Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning Support with shopping and community outings Monitor for safety risks (fall prevention, mobility awareness) Provide companionship and emotional support Support with meal preparation and setup (diabetic/low-sodium diet awareness preferred) Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent caregiving credential Prior experience working in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home health settings Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks preferred Familiarity with specialized care areas including Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care or behavioral health is advantageous Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Strong communication skills coupled with compassion and patience for working with diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as DME experience are a plus Experience with stroke patients or mobility challenges is a plus Ability to assist with transfers and personal care safely Strong communication and patience (client has mild speech impairment) Reliable transportation Ability to follow care plans and document appropriately Join us in providing top-tier patient service through compassionate caregiving!
