JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Transportation CNA/Driver loads, transports, and unloads patients for medical appointments and activity outings in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and HLTC standards.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Non-exempt Status:
May be required to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. Subject to callback during any emergency.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS A
high school diploma or its equivalent preferred. CNA Diploma from an accredited CNA Program required and as evidenced by primary source of verification.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have a valid driver's license or valid commercial driver's license in Georgia, as applicable, with a satisfactory driving record per HLTC standards Prior experience in health care or geriatrics preferred.
OTHER TRAINING, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Customer service oriented. Should possess good marketing and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL SKILL/KNOWLEDGE FUNCTIONS
Must complete pre-inspections before use of vehicle Must be able to monitor regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.) Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Must be knowledgeable of activities practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing activities functions in the post-acute care facility Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the activities department Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: transportation responsibilities, patient rights, and safety and sanitation Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc. Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures Displays integrity and professionalism

Attendance Punctuality Professional Appearance Communicates well with patients and family members providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to family/visitors/patients and responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor and answers questions when appropriate in a professional manner.
PRIMARY ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to safely load, transport, and unload patients Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients Must be able to assist in the evacuation of patients Must demonstrate dependable, regular attendance Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment Must be able to communicate and function productively in an interdisciplinary team Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Must be able to lift 35 lbs floor to waist, lift 35 lbs waist to shoulder, lift and carry 35 lbs, and push/pull 35 lbs
SUMMARY OF OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURES
Tasks assigned to position may involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious disease, air contaminants and hazardous chemicals. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset patients, family members, associates and visitors.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Should be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. This position requires a considerable amount of walking. Associate must be able to drive a vehicle. Associate should be able to sit and stand as tolerated. Drug-Free Workplace
