  • Part-time, PRN Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team.
In this vital role, you will provide essential direct patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure the comfort and safety of our patients across various care settings. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, from long-term care residents to acute hospital patients. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Support patient care in various settings such as hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of nursing staff while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care, behavioral health support, hospice care, infectious disease protocols, and pediatric or geriatric populations. Operate medical equipment such as catheters, IVs, and oxygen supplies while maintaining safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed effectively. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of employment. Prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate documentation. Familiarity with specialized care areas including Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care, behavioral health support, ICU or emergency medicine experience is a plus. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges using compassionate caregiving techniques.
