Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation. Support clinical teams by preparing patients for procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with medical procedures such as catheter care and phlebotomy. Assist with medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments in memory or behavioral health settings. Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems efficiently to document patient information and update medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various environments including acute care units like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, outpatient clinics, home & community care settings, and hospice services. Experience Prior experience working as a CNA or in a similar caregiving role within hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for patient safety. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks preferred; familiarity with medical-surgical procedures is a plus. Critical care experience including ICU or Level II Trauma Center exposure highly desirable; experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings is advantageous. Background working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience in dementia or Alzheimer's care is valued. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as Phlebotomy or DME (Durable Medical Equipment) training are beneficial. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like pediatric units (PICU), post-acute care facilities, or inpatient/outpatient services while maintaining a high standard of patient service and safety.
