Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Caregiver PRN, where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and patients. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and home care environments. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will provide personalized support that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for individuals with diverse health needs. Your energy and dedication will help create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for those in your care. Responsibilities Assist residents and patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote comfort and independence. Monitor vital signs and observe changes in health status, promptly reporting any concerns to nursing staff or supervisors. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Implement specialized care plans for individuals with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health needs. Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, catheter care supplies, and phlebotomy tools with strict adherence to aseptic techniques. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as ICU, emergency departments, post-acute care facilities, or outpatient clinics to deliver comprehensive patient care. Requirements Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent caregiving credentials. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, or behavioral health conditions is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting with Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility safely. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Flexibility to work PRN shifts across various healthcare settings including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments.
