Nursing Assistant Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including in-home care and possible assisted living facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, with a focus on ensuring comfort and safety for all individuals under your care. The Nursing Assistant will work independently to deliver high-quality care. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Provide dementia care and support for patients with cognitive impairments. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Assist in the use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as needed. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. Ensure patient comfort and safety during all interactions. Maintain accurate patient daily activity logs and ensure documentation of care provided. Requirements Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is preferred. Experience in senior care or assisted living environments is advantageous. Familiarity with DME usage and maintenance is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively independently in an in-home environment. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving patients safely as needed.
