CNA Certified Nursing Assistant Waterloo, IA 50701 Part-time Part-time We are seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support patients with neurological injuries or impairments across both residential and community settings. This role plays a key part in enhancing patient independence, comfort, and overall quality of life. Shifts
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist patients with personal care needs in accordance with the care plan and qualifications. Assist clients with light housekeeping, laundry and linen change. Assist clients with bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, lifting and transferring. Provide transportation to patients as required including appointments, shopping, community outings, etc. Follow all medication procedures as established in the care plan, ensuring proper dispensing and dosages. Assist with reporting, charting and other administrative/clerical tasks. Oversee any required rehabilitation exercises. Assist in maintaining all necessary supplies for patient needs, i.e. grooming supplies, household cleaning supplies, and items needed for staff job duties. Run errands as needed (grocery shopping, pharmacy, etc.). Work collaboratively with other members of the Neuro team. Complete all required trainings & attend monthly staff meetings Ensure health and safety of the patients. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Administrator/Director.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with favorable driving record. Certified Nursing Assistance certification required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
Medical terminology, anatomy, physiology.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Six months to one year of experience in direct care, caregiving, medial assisting and/or CNA experience is preferred.
